Your voice and hers, on one mic

Hold push-to-talk and speak: Whisper writes it down, she answers out loud. Mic-Link mixes your microphone with her voice into a virtual device called AlterEgo Link Audio, ready for Discord, OBS and games.

Windows voices

The voices already installed on Windows. Zero setup, zero cost.

OpenAI-compatible

Any service that speaks the OpenAI speech API, with your own key.

Push-to-talk

Whisper transcription (Groq or a local server). Works on a key or on the middle and side mouse buttons.

Your devices

Choose the speakers for her voice and the microphone for push-to-talk. Dialogue blips included.

CH 06Permissions

Everything starts switched off

Alter Ego only sees the tools you turn on. Sensitive ones ask every time, with Deny preselected. Try flipping a switch.

STEP 1

Run the installer, or extract the zip and open alter-ego.exe. Updating keeps your settings, keys and memory.

STEP 2

If SmartScreen warns you, choose More info → Run anyway. WebView2 is already on up-to-date Windows.

STEP 3

Add an AI key in Settings → AI & keys, then press Ctrl+Alt+T and say hi.
